Otto Klar (1908 – 1994)
He was an Austrian-born South African artist. Best known for his landscape paintings and drawings.
He established a reputation by demonstrating command of the oil techniques and skill in descriptive landscape.
Otto Klar was described as a painter of energy and strength. His palette consisting predominantly black, white, golds, oranges and reds, His brush holds promise of powerful construction, movement and dynamic clash of forces.
