Born in Bergamo, Italy in 1927, Titta Fasciotti was a lifelong artist who began his creative journey under the guidance of his father, a skilled fresco painter and decorator. Surrounded by a family of artists, he grew up immersed in various art forms from a young age. At seventeen, he enrolled at the Accademia Carrara Bergamo in Italy, studying under Professor Achille Fune for four years.
In 1948, Titta Fasciotti faced challenging circumstances when he relocated to South Africa. His father, Gino, was an Italian prisoner of war held in South Africa. Despite the difficulties, Titta continued his artistic pursuits in his new home, studying under the renowned artist W.G. Wiles from 1952 to 1955.
