Description

Corry Larsen 1961 –

Corry Larsen, born in South Africa in 1961, is an artist with over 13 years’ experience painting street scenes, boats, cafés and “Kaapse Klopse”, especially in District Six and Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront. Her commissions include Angles, the Isle of Man’s castle and harbour, and wedding portraits.

Working in oils with brushes and palette knives, she creates bold, textured expressionist and contemporary paintings shown in solo and group exhibitions and held in collections in South Africa and abroad. Inspired by people, nature, dramatic skies and vivid colours, she developed her style under Pieter Millard’s mentorship and now teaches at her private studio in Helderkruin, Roodepoort.
