Ian Hertslet was born and educated in Johannesburg where he drew and painted from an early age. He gravitated naturally towards art as a career – working as a professional illustrator in the advertising business for almost 20 years.
Ian’s varied style and thorough understanding of the way in which media can be mixed, gives that special difference to his work. This South African artist’s landscapes are realistic but at the same time poses a spiritual quality.
