Khumo Phatshwane (1993 –
Khumo Phatshwane, also known as Khumoyame Phatshwane, is an inspired self-taught sculptor from Botswana, specializing in wire and cement sculptures.
He began cement sculpting in 2019 reflecting his childhood and passion for art. In 2020, just before lockdown he was influenced by a Zimbabwean friend named Arthur into creating wire sculptures. Khumo despite having no formal art education, learned from other artists. His has a workshop which he aims to expand creating employment opportunities for local youth. His childhood interest in art has developed into a professional career.
