Daniel was born in Makado, in the northern part of South Africa in 1964. Daniel was born in Louis Trichardt and spent much of his childhood in Southern Mozambique. He overcame many hardships, emerging as one of South Africa’s most .
Daniel Novela is a well known contemporary impressionist artist in South Africa.
He holds a National Diploma Fine Art from Vaal University of Technology. Novela represented Southern Africa in a number of group exhibitions in New York at Sankaranka gallery including his solo exhibition in 2006. Daniel is represented by several art galleries here in South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United Stat es of America. His work continues to infiltrate private homes and corporates around the World.
As a life painting instructor, a number of young people have received art training and mentorship from Daniel. Today some of them are reputable professional artists in their own right.
