Description
Giorgio Trobec, an artist of Italian origin, was born within the ancient city gates of the Renaissance City of Florence on St. Valentine’s Day in 1944. He later moved to South Africa with his family as a teenager. Encouraged by his artist mother, Vittoria, Giorgio experimented with various materials and techniques, producing 3-D murals of exciting scope and range in the 1960s. Although largely self-taught, he also trained as a draughtsman. This diverse background equipped him to embark on his prolific career as a painter.
